WITNESS THIS

We're obsessed with this new jewelry line called WITNESS COMPANY. It's made in Brooklyn by the super talented and good soul William Bryan Purcell. Everything is very authentic and unique, made out of solid brass and feels heavily good. We want to wear it all at once!

"WITNESS is inspired by the spirit of the American frontier, from past to present, Pioneers, Mountain Men, Moonshiners, Cowboys & Indians, River Men, and Bikers, all right here. WITNESS evokes this rich history of characters in a collection of rings I call “FRIENDSHIP-LOVE-TRUTH” that commemorates the bond of brotherhood that made this country so bad ass."

Knockin' on heaven's door

Loving these backwards halo headbands from the new Balenciaga Spring / Summer 2013 collection. A cool way to give a simple lift to your outfit. Looking forward to wearing them with my super messy hair.

 Coyote Negro Winter 2012 Lookbook

Photography: Quique Cabanillas
Model: Raquel Berrios
Hair & Makeup: Alexandra Lugo
Jewelry: Witness Company
Styling + Art Direction: Melissa Hernández

All Boricuas reunited for a cause. We love when nice and talented people come together. It just makes everything extra fun. We where super lucky to find all these unique/one of a kind handmade pieces from San Francisco/Arizona/New York for this super special collection, plus we're featuring a super badass Americana jewelry line made in Brooklyn by Witness Company. We love to collaborate with local artists :) For this shoot we mostly got inspired by Christopher Rivera's work, canvases, workspace, colors, mess, graphics, shapes and forms. Check out his amazing work here. Plus he Dj's super fun music and has the best tattoos we've seen.

We have to mention that our model / friend / musician / dj / personal astrologist Raquel Berrios aka "Buscabulla" just released a super cool single. It's a cover from a classic salsa song from Tite Curet Alonso - "Tu loco loco, y yo tranquilo"; listen here.

Tony's Tribe

UMERO TOKYO DECEMBER 2012
PHOTOGRAPHY: Nino Muñoz
Model: Toni Garm

This is perfection! Loving all the layering, colors, textures, tribalness, styling, messy hair, photography,  that blue eye shadow. Kind of has a late 60's early 70's vintage feel, and that hits our hearts. A great team behind it! All thumbs up.

☼ MAR Y SOL ☼

"Because this is our land, getting in for free is the trip"

The Mar y Sol Pop Festival was a Woodstock-like music festival that took place in Manatí,Puerto Rico, on April 1–3, 1972. It was held on 420 acres of countryside by Los Tubos beach in Vega Baja on the north shore of the island. Many critics considered this festival a disaster. Several accidental deaths, a murder, rapes, etc. But a New York Times reporter said "It was a success -- ask the people"

These pictures just make me wish, again, that I had lived in the holly 70's. I remember asking my dad about Woodstock and he told me about this fest. I bet he had a blast! Just makes me feel jealous :/ Thanks so much to Daliana Alvarado Burgos for sharing this collection with us on our facebook page

*Sorry for all the nasty watermarks, I know it's a bummer. It is impossible to get pictures of Mar y Sol without any of this nasty shit.
